Rock Spring Church was founded 23 years ago by Michael W. Tucker, Med, PhD, with a vision to create a welcoming community in Apple Valley. Today we gather each week to worship, study Scripture, and support one another as we grow in faith and purpose.

Our Mission

To love God, love people, and make disciples who make disciples, right here in Apple Valley and far beyond it.

Everything we do flows from the grace we have received. We believe God meets ordinary people in ordinary weeks, and we want to be a church where that is easy to see. A place where first-time guests feel at home, longtime members keep growing, and the people we have not met yet can find room to ask any question they need to ask.

Our Vision

A church where nobody feels like a stranger

We want to be a church where the lonely find real friendship, the weary find real rest, and the curious find real room to ask hard questions without fear of being judged or rushed.

Twenty-three years in, that is still what keeps us showing up Sunday mornings at 9:30, Thursday Bible Study at 6:15PM, and Saturday mornings at 10:00 AM here in Apple Valley. The work is ordinary. The God behind it is not.

Rock Spring Church is a community of ordinary people held together by a few simple commitments. They have shaped us from our beginning under the leadership of Michael W. Tucker, and they still shape us today.

We believe the Bible is the living word of God, and we build our teaching, pastoral guidance, and community life on its foundation-not on cultural trends or convenience.

A Grace-Shaped Welcome

Everyone who walks through our doors has a story, and some of those stories are hard. We want to be a church where grace is the first thing you feel and the last thing you forget.

A Neighborhood Church

We are not trying to be famous. We are trying to be faithful, right here in Apple Valley, to the neighbors God has placed next door, down the block, and across the city.

Founding Pastor

Michael W. Tucker, Med, PhD

Michael has been our founding pastor for the last twenty-three years. He leads our teaching at Sunday mornings, Thursday Bible study, and Saturday gatherings, and believes deeply that the best sermons are the ones that show up the next morning at the kitchen table.

Leads our congregation in growing deeper in Scripture and faith.

At Rock Spring Church, we gather around a simple invitation: to become. We meet Sunday mornings at 9:30, Saturday mornings at 10:00, and Thursday evenings at 6:15 for Bible study. Together, we're a community seeking to grow in faith, Scripture, and the ways of Jesus.

How we are led

Grounded in shared leadership and prayer

Rock Spring Church is led by a team of elders who serve together in humble accountability to our congregation. Every significant decision is bathed in prayer, thoroughly discussed, and transparently shared with our church family. This pattern of shared leadership has sustained our health and unity for 23 years.

Elder-led shepherdingOur elders oversee teaching, pastoral care, and the church's direction as a unified team.
Prayer before decisionsEvery elder meeting is rooted in extended prayer before any matter is considered.
Open annual reportingFinances, ministry activities, and congregational updates are shared transparently each year.
Pastoral presence and careOur elders are available to meet, pray, and journey alongside any member through life's seasons.

Sundays at 9:30 AM, Saturdays at 10:00 AM, or Thursdays at 6:15 PM for Bible Study. No dress code, no expectations. Coffee is hot and ready, kids are welcome in every environment, and we would love to meet you in person.
